Visa to Bali for Indian Citizens, A Complete Guide

Planning a trip to Bali, the beautiful Indonesian island paradise? If you’re an Indian citizen, you might be wondering about visa requirements. Don’t worry, this blog post will guide you through everything you need to know!

Do You Need a Visa?

The good news is that Indian citizens can visit Bali for short trips without a visa. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Free Visa Exemption: Enjoy a visa-free stay for up to 30 days. This is perfect for short vacations and getaways.
  • Visa on Arrival (VOA): Planning a longer stay? You can get a VOA upon arrival in Bali, valid for 30 days with a single extension for another 30 days. This is ideal for trips between 30 and 60 days.

Important Notes:

  • You must enter and depart Bali directly through Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) to be eligible for the visa exemption or VOA.
  • Ensure your passport has at least 6 months validity from your arrival date and has blank pages for entry stamps.
  • For VOA, you’ll need to pay a fee (around ₹2400) and have proof of onward or return flight ticket and sufficient funds for your stay.

Planning a Longer Stay?

If your Bali adventure extends beyond 60 days, you’ll need to apply for a proper visa before your trip. This can be a Tourist Visa B211A, which allows for a 60-day stay and may be extendable twice for a maximum 180-day stay in Indonesia.

Extra Tips:

  • Double-check current visa requirements and fees with the Indonesian embassy or consulate before your trip, as regulations can change.
  • Consider travel insurance for peace of mind.
  • Enjoy your amazing Balinese experience!
