Traveling from the US to Bali has become significantly easier since June 9th, 2023. Here’s what you need to know:
Restrictions Lifted!
The biggest news is that Bali, and Indonesia as a whole, no longer requires proof of vaccination for entry. This means you can skip the hassle of obtaining and presenting vaccination documents.
Recommendations Still Apply
While proof of vaccination is no longer mandatory, Indonesian authorities still recommend being fully vaccinated, including receiving booster shots if possible. This will help protect yourself and others, especially if you’re at high risk for complications from COVID-19.
Other Requirements
- Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date and have at least two blank pages for entry stamps.
- You may be eligible for a Visa on Arrival, allowing a 30-day stay with a single extension possible.
Staying Safe and Informed
- Though masks are no longer mandatory, it’s advisable to wear one in crowded areas or if you’re feeling unwell.
- Consider carrying your vaccination card even though it’s not required.
- Always check with your airline for any additional requirements they may have.
Planning Your Bali Escape
With relaxed restrictions, Bali is an ideal destination for your dream vacation. Remember, this information is current as of June 5th, 2024, but travel regulations can change. It’s always a good idea to stay updated by checking the official U.S. Department of State travel advisory for Indonesia Indonesia International Travel Information and the website of the Indonesian Embassy in the United States https://id.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/covid-19-information/).
